When not in the clinic she is a highly active instructor for ILWTI and a virtual product trainer for Koya Medical . Over the last 15 years as a physical therapist Laura has held roles as a staff clinician, wound care consultant and therapy manager in various settings such as home health, skilled nursing and outpatient PT throughout the rural parts of the western United States. Most recently she was part of a dynamic home health agency in Phoenix, Arizona that was focused on providing gold standard lymphedema and wound care in the home setting. From this experience she was able to combine positive patient results to co-author a poster board at The Symposium of Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) Fall conference 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada and took home a top 15 people’s choice award for their poster “Home Care Patients: Thinking Outside The (Compression) Box”. Laura is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist through Lymphology Association of North America, a Wound Care Certified Clinician through National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy, a certified lymphedema and wound care therapist with ILWTI, an active APTA acute care and home health section member, along with active membership with the American Vein & Lymphatic Society. A graduate of California State University, Sacramento’s Physical Therapy Program she is proud to represent her alma mater. When she is not in the clinic or teaching she can be found outdoors in an old JEEP, sailing the seven seas, and geocaching with her husband and friends.
